Notorious B.I.G.’s Son Launches Cannabis Company

Notorious B.I.G.’s son launches the cannabis company Think BIG to honor his father. He’s not the first celebrity to invest in the marijuana industry, and he certainly won’t be the last.

Actor Christopher Jordan (C.J.) Wallace, son of legendary rapper Notorious B.I.G., has launched his own cannabis company. The brand is named Think BIG as a tribute to Wallace’s late father. The company will be partnering up with Lowell Herb Co.

Think BIG has started their launch by offering pre-rolled packs of “The Frank White Creative Blend” —  named in honor of B.I.G.’s alter ego. The brand will also release their own vapes, gummies, additional pre-rolls, and other apparel.

Wallace is an advocate for medical marijuana and cannabis legalization. He told Variety that he founded Think BIG with “a shared mission for social justice and a fundamental goal to herald in a new era where cannabis is no longer considered contraband, but a catalyst for creativity.”

“Cannabis is something I’ve always been connected to, even at a young age,” C.J. continued. He took inspiration from his own parent’s cannabis use and saw firsthand how CBD-based treatments helped his younger brother deal with autism. The products released under the Think BIG brand will be focused on promoting similar healing and creativity.

Why Do Celebrities Invest in Cannabis?

Experts predict that the legal cannabis market will be worth $146.4 billion by 2025. It only makes sense that wealthy individuals like musicians, actors, and athletes would want to invest in this industry as early as possible.

Plus, who doesn’t like weed? The link between celebrities and cannabis has been obvious and undeniable for some time now. With the growing legality of cannabis, that link is becoming even more public.

Some obvious advocates and their brands include Snoop Dogg’s “Leafs By Snoop”, Willie Nelson’s specially developed “Willie’s Reserve” strain, and Wiz Khalifa’s partnership with RiverRock for his own Colorado-based line of cannabis products. Even the late Bob Marley has a special line of “Marley Natural” products available.

Musicians aren’t the only ones with skin in the game. Athletes have also taken out their wallets and invested into the marijuana industry. Mike Tyson is building a sprawling 42o-friendly resort featuring a cannabis university and “the world’s longest lazy river.” Hall of Fame NFL quarterback Joe Montana has poured millions of dollars into cannabis-centric media outlet Herb. Additionally, former NBA player Al Harrington developed the cannabis brand Viola, and former NFL running back Ricky Williams founded the Real Wellness brand of cannabis and holistic products.

Other celebrities like Whoopi Goldberg, Seth Rogen, Tommy Chong, and Martha Stewart have all invested in the marijuana industry. These famous names are doing their part to develop new products, advocate for legalization, and strengthen the cannabis community.

Grow Your Future

Experts predict that 2019 could be a huge year for nationwide cannabis legalization. Meaning that the best time to invest in this industry is as soon as possible. “In 2019, I think that we can expect to see more of the same type of change, but maybe at a more rapid pace,” Jolene Forman, senior staff attorney at the Drug Policy Alliance, told Newsweek. “The train has left the station. Americans of all political affiliations and almost all demographics support marijuana legalization.”
